Heidi & Paul’s Wedding Featured on Green Wedding Shoes!

Heidi and Paul’s July wedding is being Featured on Green Wedding Shoes!! This couple was very easy-going and so much fun to work with! I love the bright colors and fun details that went into this day. It was great working with Connie Dai Photography, Violet Floral Design, and Epicurean (can’t beat a yummy  food truck)! One of the best parts of the wedding was the amazing gelato from Fior di Latte.  See the full feature on Green Wedding Shoes by clicking HERE!

Heidi and Paul chose a 100 year old barn nestled in the mountains overlooking a lake and a meadow where a buffalo herd roams (literally!).  Playful invites with a sewn fabric pocket with pinked edges containing an invitation set the tone for the day. The same fabric was used to tie the boutineers. A gorgeous Anna Campbell gown with delicate beadwork and flowing silk chiffon paired with a floral crown was perfect for this free spirited bride. Tricia of Violet Floral Design did an amazing job creating a large, lush and vibrant floral arrangement set atop on a vintage buffet for a simple yet stunning ceremony backdrop.  The couple’s American Bulldog Mattie was all dolled up as the flower girl with fresh florals attached to her collar.  For the reception tables, Tricia of Violet Floral Design used a mismatched collection of mint glass and clear class clusters packed with beautiful peaches and blush toned flowers. Lovely pastels colors created a whimsical feel. Tucked in the vases were mint ombre table numbers. Selecting the food for their celebration was one of their favorite parts of the planning process, and they couldn’t have been happier with their choices: a delicious food truck and a refreshing gelato cart, which were also huge hits with their guests. One of my favorite details was their wedding hashtag #itstartedwithamohawk. Heidi really wanted to choose an original hashtag, so she went for one of the reasons why she first fell for Paul!

Thank you everyone for pulling it together to create this lovely day:

Molly & Jeff’s Wedding featured on Green Wedding Shoes

I’ve been dying to share this wedding! I apologize now for the picture overload, but these photos from EP love are amazing and Molly & Jeff’s was was such a joy to be a part of; they were so open minded and just a joy to be around. So I am so excited to see it featured on Green Wedding Shoes today, click HERE to see the feature!

Most importantly, their wedding truly turned out to be a reflection of who they are as a couple. The Lyons Farmette was the perfect backdrop for the laid back celebration complete with baby goats, chickens, gardens, and a darling renovated airstream. The bold and happy color palette really set the tone for this fun and vibrant wedding. And of course, Molly looked just ethereal in her gorgeous Tara LaTour gown from Anna Be. Of course we can’t forget the gorgeous flowers! A Florae incorporated a vast variety of flowers, such as peonies, blushing bride, ranunculus, scabiosa, sweet peas, and cafe au lait dahlias all keeping within the color palette for a lush and full look.

If you are considering doing a first look, but still not sure let these photos help convince you!  From the bride: “My absolute favorite part about the day was our first look. It was so special to have those few sweet moments together to embrace, breathe, and truly feel the magnitude of what we were about to do. It’s easy to get caught up in the little details, but in the end my favorite memories are of the feelings that were evoked by being surrounded by the people that we love the most.

First look from the 2nd shooter’s view..sigh!

The stationery was designed and calligraphed by Sally Balt of la Happy. Sally created these invitations using her whimsical custom calligraphy and vintage farm motifs, all in shades of mint green and brown. Kraft envelopes with an arrow design liner, mad lib response card,  and vintage postage made them just darling.

The ceremony was simple and sweet. The bride’s aunt was their officiant.   A Florae hung simple bud vases from the venue’s tree. It was the perfect backdrop.

The reception was playful with a touch of modern. Some of the other notable details included a dessert station set atop a whiskey barrel table, handmade striped napkins, and the bride’s grandmother’s vintage egg cup collection in the tablescape. Oh and we can’t forget about the delicious food from EAT!

From the bride: “One of the most special things about our wedding was that my dad made all the beer. In the several months leading up to the wedding, he spent every spare second tending to his home-brewed creations and making sure his recipes would please our guests. He even named each of the nine types of beer after something special in Jeff and my relationship, like Belle Duvel (our dog’s name) and Smoke Machine Porter (Jeff’s proposal involved a faulty smoke machine). Although his recycled bottles weren’t very beautiful, our guests were incredibly impressed by his hard work and the how delicious they all were.”

Last but not least the couples getaway car, a vintage 1972 VW bus (thanks Hippe Limo)

Congrats Molly & Jeff! Thanks again for letting us share in your joyous day!

Romantic Texture-Inspired Wedding

Beyond excited to share this shoot we designed being featured on Reverie Magazine!! It is so different than any of our previous designs and we are so proud! The inspiration for this shoot was texture..subtle yet romantic and elegant.

We didn’t want to overwhelm the look with color, so we went with a more subtle palette of whites, creams, blush pinks and peaches. Our model wore a stunning silk chiffon gown, appropriately named Grace, by Australian designer Anna Campbell, which features a delicately beaded sleeve and was a perfect contrast to the other textures in the shoot.

From Bare Root Flora “Flowers were a integral piece of the layered look we wanted. We adore the velvety softness and lines of the protea, the ruffles of the ranunculus and the parrot tulips, the depth of the andromeda, the lush delicate nature of the lilac and the open, sweet nature of the anemone, not to mention the contrast of its gorgeous navy eye against all the whites and blush pinks. The perfect finishing touch was the porcelain magnolia blooms–something we’d never used in design before.  We loved how the centerpiece looked sitting on the incredible linen from La Tavola–although subtle in color, its layered rosette and circle patterns added so much to the tablescape.” close up table candlestick bouquet model 2 bouquet model clutch dress dress cao flowers 4 flowers 3 flowers 2 flowers escort cards in a row escort and plate escort drinking glasses dress cap 2 venue model venue table with couch 3 table with couch 2 table scene table model window 3 model window 2 model window model table model stairs model dress close up 2 model dress close up model couch 2 model couch model chair 3 model chair 2 model chair model candles 2 model candles model blue wall
