Caitlin and Jimmer are such a beautiful couple inside and out. They are close friends of mine so when Caitlin asked me to be her bridesmaid I was thrilled! She also later asked me to be her planner which was just as exciting…but I knew would be a little complicated! Planning with her was such a wonderful experience and thankfully on the day of Michaela and Grace came to my rescue so I could focus on being a bridesmaid! I have the best team ever! Thanks so much to Connie Dai Photography for these gorgeous photos. You are the truly talented. And, a high thanks to Violet Floral Design for the most lovely romantic lush flowers I’ve ever seen!
It’s no surprise that this wedding is being featured on Style Me Pretty! Click here to see the feature.

When we began the design process, we knew we wanted to create something understated, romantic, and elegant for their mountain celebration. Caitlin and Jimmer chose the mountains of Estes Park because they wanted a weekend event, but also because Estes held a special place in their hearts. It is the place of their very first vacation together, and more since. It had also held so many memories for them and promised more in their future, starting with their wedding. This wedding was the perfect reflection of them as a couple – genuine and caring. They took every step to make sure everyone felt included and knew how much their presence meant to them. It was one of the most heartfelt days I’ve ever been a part of.
Caitlin’s Hayley Paige gown could not have been a better fit. The lace bodice with an organza overlay gave the lace a layered, delicate effect. The ceremony pergola was covered with chiffon draping and a lush gorgeous garland from Tricia of Violet Floral Design. Cocktail hour was held on a covered deck with sweeping views of the valley. Custom-made pink and white chiffon draping framed the beams. Chiffon linens covered the cocktail tables, giving them an airy and simple look. Bistro lights added the perfect ambiance, and also allowed for dancing to take place al fresco.
The reception was full of classic touches that included silver and crystal taper candles down the head table. Each place setting had a pink napkin with a menu tucked in, and the escort card was tied with delicate ribbon and a sprig of rosemary. The lovely cake table held a trio of small cakes adorned with flowers with a calligraphed mirror with a quote by Walt Whitman that read “We were together, I forget the rest.” For the guest book, guests filled out vintage Colorado postcards that the maid of honor is going to be mailing to the couple randomly during their first year of marriage. Even the cocktail napkins were a special detail – the bride’s mother sewed the linen napkins herself. Connie Dai Photography captured the day exquisitely. It is always a treat to have her skilled lens capture my work.

Heidi and Paul’s July wedding is being Featured on Green Wedding Shoes!! This couple was very easy-going and so much fun to work with! I love the bright colors and fun details that went into this day. It was great working with Connie Dai Photography, Violet Floral Design, and Epicurean (can’t beat a yummy food truck)! One of the best parts of the wedding was the amazing gelato from Fior di Latte. See the full feature on Green Wedding Shoes by clicking HERE!
Mint Ombre Table Numbers. Connie Dai Photography.
Heidi and Paul chose a 100 year old barn nestled in the mountains overlooking a lake and a meadow where a buffalo herd roams (literally!). Playful invites with a sewn fabric pocket with pinked edges containing an invitation set the tone for the day. The same fabric was used to tie the boutineers. A gorgeous Anna Campbell gown with delicate beadwork and flowing silk chiffon paired with a floral crown was perfect for this free spirited bride. Tricia of Violet Floral Design did an amazing job creating a large, lush and vibrant floral arrangement set atop on a vintage buffet for a simple yet stunning ceremony backdrop. The couple’s American Bulldog Mattie was all dolled up as the flower girl with fresh florals attached to her collar. For the reception tables, Tricia of Violet Floral Design used a mismatched collection of mint glass and clear class clusters packed with beautiful peaches and blush toned flowers. Lovely pastels colors created a whimsical feel. Tucked in the vases were mint ombre table numbers. Selecting the food for their celebration was one of their favorite parts of the planning process, and they couldn’t have been happier with their choices: a delicious food truck and a refreshing gelato cart, which were also huge hits with their guests. One of my favorite details was their wedding hashtag #itstartedwithamohawk. Heidi really wanted to choose an original hashtag, so she went for one of the reasons why she first fell for Paul!

Just wanted to share this unique and beautiful wedding that I provided some decor for…
From the bride and groom: As for what inspired us – We are just two passionate designers, wanting to make the nothing seem like something. We really wanted to use everyday things, reuse objects, such as lightbulbs and recycled paper cranes to make our day unique and magical creating an interesting mix of both the old world and modern taste we both share.
