This elegant and romantic restaurant wedding in the heart of downtown Denver was the perfect way to celebrate Kristin & Brett’s love and commitment to one another. With the help of an incredible team, this foodie couple was able to transform the contemporary urban eatery into a romantic, elegant, and warm soiree with their closest friends and family. Kristin, who is an event planner herself, gave attention to every single detail of the day. There was not a inch of the restaurant that didn’t incorporate a piece of her vision and style. Kristin brought in the fabulously talented Liz of Siloh Floral Artistry to help bring her vision to life. Together they came up with the concept of having a “living” art piece as the backdrop for their ceremony. Kristin and Liz wanted to create an intimate and unique element that would combine abstract art with romantic and feminine florals. What came to life on the wedding day was a ten foot high and ten foot wide painted canvas with blooms and foliage spilling out of the canvas to make it appear alive and growing. It was absolutely incredible and so jaw dropping! It later doubled as the photo booth backdrop.
This romantic restaurant wedding was held at The Kitchen. Outside, the city of Denver bustled by while guests enjoyed a family-style meal seated down long wood tables under the warmth of candlelight. The tables were adorned with beautiful and lush centerpieces in muted and neutral tones that spilled onto the tables.
The invitations and the menus were created by Sweet Letterpress. All of the signage for the wedding was hand-lettered by Taryn from Taryn Eklund Ink. From the custom cocktail boards, the guestbook globe, and the calligraphy on the mirror in the restaurant, everything had a personal touch from the bride and groom.
With a fairly feminine and soft vision, Kristin wanted to incorporate a masculine element that would represent more of Brett’s personality and interests. There was a whisky tasting and cigar bar table for the groom with his groom’s cake, accented with brass and copper lanterns, terrarium with succulents, and moss.
The day was captured beautifully on film by the wonderful Connie Whitlock.
