Sending off a bride and groom at the end of their reception is a classic tradition that lives on today. The sendoff can add an extra bit of style and personality to the end of a couple’s big day. However, keep in mind that many venues have restrictions on what may be allowed. If your chosen venue does not allow sparklers or loose materials (like confetti or flowers) just know that there are a plethora of options for you to choose from. Remember, noise-makers like cow bells or tambourines could make for a memorable exit. You may have to put your thinking cap on, but once you start thinking outside the box your grand exit will become more personalized than you could have ever imagined.
Streamers or ribbons add a pop of color that can tie into your color scheme and are a great idea for a daytime getaway. These wands are an awesome no-mess option and can also become a noise-maker, if you so choose, by simply adding small bells to the top of the wooden dowels. This alternative can complete your day by adding a touch of lightheartedness and whimsy.
Do you love neon colors? Do you want your send-off to illuminate the night sky? Glow sticks may be the perfect option for your special day. These glow sticks can be handed out while guests are still on the dance floor which would give your reception a club atmosphere and delightful pictures.

Brad and Emily’s had a picturesque Rocky Mountain wedding in Colorado last Fall. As outdoor enthusiasts, they were inspired to pick The Winding River Ranch tucked in the Colorado mountain town of Grand Lake. Emily wore a stunning lace gown by Nicole Miller and her bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in shades of purple, nude, and blush. Flora by Nora’s fall inspired arrangements brought the reception to life along with a live band that kept the guests dancing all night. Photography was a huge priority for the couple since the groom is Brads the CEO of Artifact Uprising. They choose the talented Levi Tijerina to capture the day. The true beauty of this wedding was all the special touches. Table numbers were National Parks which was fitting since they got married with the Rocky Mountain National Park as their ceremony backdrop. The bride’s grandmother needlepointed the bright colored Chuppah that hung above them as they said “I do”. Thanks Brad and Emily for letting us be a part of your big day!

Alba and Jordan’s classic Vail wedding took place at Donovan Pavilion the second weekend of October in the lovely mountains of Vail, Colorado. The fall colors made a stunning backdrop for their mountainside first look. And Becca, the couples adorable pup was the cutest “Dog of Honor”. Alba has such a classic style which made for a timeless and romantic day at the iconic venue. Congrats again Alba & Jordan!

Bailey and Chad had an awesome, creative boho wedding at Piney River Ranch in Vail Colorado. This stunning venue is located at the foot of the Gore Range right next to Piney Lake in Colorado. To help Bailey’s vision of a chic boho wedding come to life she brought in the talented Rachel with March Floral Designs. Rachel knocked it out of the park with her creative ideas from a wildflower semi-circle garland ceremony piece for the couple to stand in which was perfect since it didn’t block the views, to the bridesmaids similar yet each one uniquely different bouquets with mismatched ribbon or leathers strands, to the head table adorned with the garland repurposed from the ceremony with flowers and candles spread throughout and vines that sprang from the table and cascaded to the floor!
Other amazing details that came together to create this gorgeous day included calligraphed watercolored escort cards hung on a macrame backdrop with a guestbook sign to match, and calligraphed signs of the bar menu, welcome sign and large chalkboard sign with a love quote to hang in the newlyweds home. An extra special detail was that their first dance and ceremony were held on the deck of the Ranch overlooking the lake and the mountains. This charming day was captured so beautifully by Kellsworth Photo. See it here on Green Wedding Shoes! Congratulations again Bailey & Chad!

Katie & Wes’ fun and colorful wedding was such a joy to be a part of! We LOVED this day and this couple! This gorgeous wedding is now featured on Green Wedding Shoes! Click here to see more of it!
The couple chose to seat their 75 guests at two long farm tables, which were a real focal point for the evening. The wooden tables were set with vintage china, delicate grey runners, and a gorgeous mix of florals in wood boxes, delicate brown bottles, and beautiful smoky glass and stone urns filled with textural and lush blooms in a deep and saturated color palette. Watercolor painted place cards, loose artichokes and beautiful votives finished off the tables perfectly. Overhead, an eclectic mix of Edison bulbs were hung to give the tables a gorgeous glow.
Some of our other favorite details included a whiskey tasting, Free People bridesmaid dresses, and custom made cowgirl boots for the bride! This wedding is so much FUN. We hope you love it as much as we do!

There is nothing quite like timeless yet relaxed backyard wedding. This one was especially perfect. The black Free People bridesmaids dresses with their delicate leather detailing were just stunning. The clear tent with chandeliers and bistro lights let guests dine under the stars. And guests found their seats with dainty deckle edge calligraphed place cards with a navy ribbon with rosemary tied to them. The classic delicate tablescape was a joy to design and one for the books! Ali made the most gorgeous flowers. The couple chose a fondant cake made by Intricate Icings textured to be reminiscent of hobnail glass. Additional hand piped embroidery along the top and bottom edges mimic the lace pattern on the bride’s gown. Intricate sugar flowers cascade across the front for a romantic feel. And the talented Ashely Sawtell captured it all.

I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved this wedding or this couple. Their wedding was beautifully elegant, yet relaxed and fun all at once. The day couldn’t have been possible without the amazingly gifted Bella Lu and all captured by the talented Connie Whitlock Photography.
Bella Lu Floral used some of our custom vintage cake stands to create several of the beautiful and lush centerpieces. Jasmine vine and vintage bottles laid along the long guest tables with taper candles and low candlelight to warm up the rustic venue. Also, silk and willow hand dyed silk ribbon were used for the bride’s bouquet.
The wedding featured custom watercolor calligraphy invitations with flowers and mountains, and these lovely details were tied together through the entire day. Now featured on Style Me Pretty! Click here to see!
