Sugar Bubbling Champagne Cocktail

It’s New Years Eve..yippee!

 We wanted to come up with a little something for the New Year so what better than a champagne drink? I mean what’s a party without champagne?! We had fun crafting this concoction and it will make the perfect signature drink for New Years or a wedding 😉 Cheers to 2015 from all of us at A Vintage Affair!

Sugar Bubbling Champagne Cocktail

2-3 dashes lemon bitters
1-2 Sugar Cube
1.5 oz St. Germain
Sprig of thyme

Place a sugar cube (or two) in a champagne glass, add 2-3 dashes of lemon bitters. Next add the St. Germain. Then comes the fun part, the champagne. Fill the rest of the glass with Champagne, which will then react with the sugar cube to create a lovely fountain of delicate fizzing bubbles (even more than normal) which is quite fun! Finally add a sprig of thyme to add a little extra something.
