She is our newest wedding assistant and will be helping us this summer! Here is a little bit about Erin:
Tell us about yourself!
My name is Erin. I grew up in Colorado, went to school in Kansas, and have worked around the world. I got the travel bug early in life, thanks to my family and love to explore and travel the world. I am a crafty person and lover of anything that involves color, glitter, markers, cupcakes and vintage treasure hunts. I think I should have grown up in the 1950’s and am on my way to mastering pin curls. I am an amateur foodie, baker and dessert book collector and one of my prized possessions is a pink Kitchen Aid mixer. I make it a point everywhere I travel to visit a famous bakery in town. I’ve been a planner since I was young, always planning themed birthday parties, complete with matching menus and activities.
Tell us 3 things that are on your bucket list. Only three? 🙂 1. Travel to Asia- it’s so unique and different and the home of Hello Kitty. 2. Make a recipe from a Julia Child cookbook-sounds daunting, but one of these days I will master one. 3. See the Northern Lights- this one needs no explanation, so gorgeous.
and someday 4. Get married! 🙂
What’s your favorite city (or place) you’ve ever visited? It’s a tie between Cinque Terra, Italy and Santorini, Greece. Gorgeous views and way of life, not to mention the food.
Why weddings? I grew up dreaming about weddings and true love-and maybe being a princess. My Martha Stewart wedding magazine collection started when I was 10 and I still have the copies. I would pour over the pages of gorgeous dresses, decorations and florals and would always reenact weddings with my Barbies. Weddings are such a great way to celebrate love in a creative way that involves your family and friends. Where else do you get to put everything you both love into such an amazing event and maybe even feel like a princess? Weddings exude true love and happiness.
My favorite parts of weddings: The story/personal details (shoes from grandma, pin from sister, old photos, etc.), the desserts, the dress, and all the other fun little details like guest room goodies, crazy favors, unique seating cards, etc. I pretty much listed just about everything.
Let’s give Erin a warm welcome shall we!!
