And we’re off!

I really like the idea of using vintage luggage at weddings. Not just for travel themed weddings and not just because it is totally chic, but because of the underlying symbolism. It speaks to the adventure the couple it about to go on together (and I don’t mean the honeymoon). Forgive me if you think the idea is a bit cheesy.   Here is some charming ideas of how to incorporate luggage into a wedding:

Luggage Card box:

Luggage “Guestbook” to collect postcards or tags:

Luggage “cake display” to create height and a focal point

Open it and set it up for escort cards on a bed of flowers like so ( I LOVE this look):

Use it to hold programs for guests to take as they walk into the ceremony:
To hold favors:

And to further incorporate the idea, you can use luggage tags:

Because I love this idea so much, we started collecting some for rent. Here is what we have so far:

This awesome guy. But wait..check out the inside:

Don’t you just wish luggage was still made like this..sigh
And my favorite:

This one has been all over the world. Luggage stickers from London, Sydney, and of course the U.S.

I can’t wait to add more to the collection!
